BNP candidate Bobby Hajjaj has been declared the winner in the Dhaka‑13 constituency, covering Mohammadpur and Dhanmondi, despite allegations of irregularities.

Hajjaj secured 88,387 votes in the constituency, while his nearest rival, Khelafat Majlis chief Mamunul Haque, received 86,067 votes -- a margin of 2,320 votes.

Before the final announcement, Mamunul appeared at the Election Commission after midnight, alleging fake ballots and delays in publishing results, bdnews24.com reports.

He claimed at least 1,200 votes were cancelled in 50 centres, estimating the total could reach 3,500.

“My margin of defeat is around 2,200. Fake votes and cancellations have cost me the seat. It is painful,” Mamunul said.
