Bangladesh Chhatra League has urged the authorities of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) to lift its ban on student politics on the campus immediately.
The pro-Awami League student organisation made the demand during a rally at the Central Shaheed Minar amid the movement of BUET students against student politics on the campus, according to local news portals.
In his speech at the rally, BCL president Saddam Hussain said the BUET authorities must lift its ban on student politics on the campus.
He also demanded steps to arrange elections for the university's student union.
