The Election Commission (EC) has announced the restoration of Jamaat-e-Islami's registration as a political party, along with its electoral symbol 'scale'.
Election Commissioner Abdur Rahman Masud confirmed the development to the media on Tuesday.
He said a gazette notification has been issued, restoring Jamaat’s registration and election symbol.
