Hanif for combating terrorist groups in iron hand

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif on Friday said there will be no room for terrorist groups including KNF in the country as the government will combat any terrorist group in an iron hand.

He said while replying to journalists after attending a reunion programme of Kushtia Polytechnic Institute Alumni in Kushtia district town.

Hanif said once there were many large terrorist groups including the group of “Bangla Bhai” in the country but those groups had been eliminated.

New terrorists groups will be eliminated from the country likewise previous ones, he said.

Intelligence agencies are working to find out those who are backing the terrorist groups from behind, he said.

Kushtia Polytechnic Institute principal and reunion programme’s president Ruhul Amin Hawlader chaired the programme while member secretary of reunion programme Engineer Rabiul Islam, Kushtia District unit of AL general secretary Ajgar Ali and joint general secretary Sheikh Mehedi Hasan also spoke, reports BSS.      

Around 2200 alumni of Kushtia Polytechnic Institute joined the reunion programme.
