Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and US President Joe Biden have been captured together in one frame for the second time in two weeks.
Hasina’s daughter and Climate Vulnerable Forum’s Thematic Ambassador Saima Wazed Hossain, and US First Lady Jill Biden also posed with Hasina and Biden in the photo clicked during a reception hosted by the US president in New York on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com in its Facebook page.
He played host to the banquet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in honour of the heads of state and government who gathered for the 78th United Nations General Assembly Session.
Biden took a selfie with Hasina and Saima in New Delhi on Sept 9 during the G20 Summit in India.
His action amid US pressure on the Hasina administration over the next general election has triggered discussions in Bangladesh.
Saima, the chairperson of the National Advisory Committee on Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, later took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to share her thoughts on the interaction with Biden in New Delhi.
"I spoke to him [Biden] about the importance of mental health services as a part of comprehensive public health, and school psychologists in the education system."
