Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has formed a two-member committee to hold discussions with political parties to formulate a framework over the electoral structure, July Charter implementation and a referendum based on consensus.
The political party issued a statement in this regard on Wednesday.
The decision was made during a meeting of Jamaat’s Central Executive Council held on Tuesday evening with its Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in the chair.
The meeting discussed the current political situation.
The committee members are Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Assistant Secretary General and former MP Dr. Hamidur Rahman Azad.
