Activists identifying themselves as “July fighters” have seized the Bogura district Jatiya Party office and hung banners there, while shouting slogans demanding the party’s ban.
The incident took place around 11am on Saturday at Kazi Nazrul Islam Road in the town, bdnews24.com reports.
Two banners were put up, one carrying a condolence message for Khaleda Zia and the other highlighting the referendum.
Bogura Sadar Police chief Moniruzzaman said the banners were displayed on behalf of the families of those killed and activists injured in the 2024 mass uprising.
