BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been admitted to Evercare Hospital for medical examinations.
Her personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain confirmed the matter on Sunday.
Following the advice of her medical board, she is staying in a private cabin for a series of tests, he said.
“The board will review the results before deciding the next steps,” he added.
The 79-year-old BNP chairperson, who suffers from arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, and eye problems, was last admitted to the hospital on Oct 15 for similar check-ups.
