Khaleda is returning: Where will the receptionists and journalists park their cars?

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is scheduled to return to Dhaka on Tuesday, 6 May 2025, at approximately 10:30 AM, following four months of medical treatment in London.

She will arrive aboard a special air ambulance provided by the Emir of Qatar, according to local media .

In anticipation of her arrival, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued specific parking and traffic guidelines to ensure public safety and minimise congestion:

1. Airport Area:

   • Journalists are requested to park their vehicles in the airport's multi-level car parking facility.

   • Vehicles of those welcoming Khaleda Zia should be parked in the vacant lot adjacent to Swadesh Properties on the 300 Feet Road.

2. Gulshan Area:

   • Journalists should park on one side of the roads surrounding Gulshan Society Park.

   • Vehicles of well-wishers are to be parked on one side of the roads near Justice Shahabuddin Park.

3. General Directives:

   • Avoid parking on highways or any non-designated areas.

   • Refrain from parking vehicles along the route of Khaleda Zia's movement.

   • Unauthorized vehicles are not permitted to join the motorcade.
