BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s health condition is now “quite stable” after nearly a month of treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, according to her personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain.
He shared the update during a media briefing outside the private hospital in Dhaka on Friday afternoon.
Noting that the former prime minister had been undergoing treatment for almost a month since Nov 23, Zahid said: “Her condition is now far more stable than it was earlier under the medical board’s care.”
He added that a minor medical procedure had also been carried out earlier in the day.
“She tolerated the procedure very well. It was completed smoothly,” he said. “She is currently receiving treatment in a cabin equipped with intensive care unit facilities.”
