Khaleda Zia’s movement shrouded in mystery on BDR carnage day: Hanif
Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif on Saturday said movement of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on the day of Pilkhana BDR carnage in 2009 was shrouded in mystery.
“Begum Khaleda Zia hardly wakes up early in the morning but on the day of the Pilkhana BDR carnage, she woke up early in the morning and went to unknown destination by a car for two days. Tarique Rahman talked to her several times by phone from London,” he said while talking to journalists after placing wreaths at the graves of the army officials who were killed in BDR carnage, reports BSS.
He said the verdict in the case of Pilkhana tragedy awaits execution and hoped that it would be executed by this year.
Those who dislike Awami League were the mastermind of BDR carnage, Hanif said, adding that they carried out such grisly incident to topple the government just 50 days after Awami League assumed power, he added.
