Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today (Thursday) said there is no coordination among BNP leaders as the party failed to set their goal.
“BNP cannot set its goal. Now BNP is as like a boat without a rudder. That is why they are anxious about everything,” he told newsmen after visiting a programme of the ministry at BRTA office at Keraniganj in Dhaka.
Quader said BNP could not read the mindset of people that is why they are staying out of the power.
Under the programme, providing and checking of fitness certificate of vehicles and driving license and renewal of license are being held from 9 am to 9 pm from Saturday to Thursday at every offices of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
The minister said the government has a plan to build vehicle inspection centre (VIC) at every divisional city with the financial assistance of Korea, reports BSS.
He urged the concerned police officials to stop plying of battery-run rickshaw in the capital city. Quader also warned of taking stern actions against all irregularities in the road transport sector.
