Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said on Saturday said that the law enforcement agencies are fully ready to ensure security during the upcoming national elections.
He said whenever the government decides to hold the election the law enforcement agencies get fully prepared to ensure security during the polls.
He told the media while visiting the RAB-1 Headquarters in the capital's Uttara area.
He said that any Bangladeshi citizens presently staying in India should return to the country through legal and systematic channels.
"It is inhumane to abandon them in forests or by lakes," he continued.
He further said that Indian nationals residing illegally in Bangladesh will also be repatriated to India through proper legal procedures.
