The National Citizen Party (NCP) has named a 51-member executive council to serve for three months.
The party’s Office Secretary Saleh Uddin Sifat disclosed the development to the media on Sunday.
The council has been formed with the approval of party Convenor Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain per the decision No. 2 of the 4th general meeting held on Apr 26, according to an official letter from the NCP.
Along with Nahid and Akhtar, the committee members include Samanta Shermeen, Ariful Islam Adib, Tasnim Jara, Nahida Sarwar Niva, Sarjis Alam, Hasnat Abdullah, Nasiruddin Patwary, Abdul Hannan Masud, Nusrat Tabassum, Monira Sharmin, Mahbub Alam, Sarwar Tusher, and Tajnuva Jabeen, among others.
Sifat said the party’s highest decision-making body will be a 10-strong political council, alongside the newly formed executive council.
The council, he explained, will oversee the activities of the party secretariat, take decisions in emergency situations, and carry out other key responsibilities.
