Leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) have come under fresh attack on their way out of Gopalganj following a rally amid simmering tensions surrounding the party's July march programme.
The latest attack took place around 2:45pm on Wednesday near the Gopalganj Government College in the town's Launch Ghat area, bdnews24.com reports.
The incident triggered panic in the area. Alongside police, Army personnel have been deployed to bring the situation under control.
The NCP leaders were heading to Madaripur via Tekerhat after wrapping up their rally in Gopalganj when the attack forced them to scatter.
