NCP names candidates for 27 of 30 seats allotted under coalition

The National Citizen Party (NCP), a partner in the Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance, has finalised its candidates for 27 of the 30 parliamentary constituencies allotted under the coalition agreement for the general election.

The party published the list on its Facebook page on Sunday afternoon. The alliance finalised seat allocations on Thursday, granting the NCP 30 seats.

The party said discussions are ongoing for the remaining three constituencies, and changes to the list may occur if necessary.

Mahbub Alam, head of NCP’s electoral media subcommittee, told bdnews24.com that candidates for the remaining seats would be announced once confirmed.
