The National Citizen Party (NCP) has revoked the expulsion order against Mahin Sarkar.
He will now resume his duties in his former position as joint member secretary, according to a letter signed by NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat issued on Saturday, bdnews24.com reports.
The letter noted that under the instruction of NCP Convenor Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhter Hossen, he has been reinstated as joint member secretary of the NCP’s Central Convening Committee.
Sharing the letter on Facebook, Mahin wrote: "I shall duly fulfil the duties entrusted to me."
Mahin was suspended from the party on Aug 18 after he collected the nomination form for the general secretary position from the United Students’ Alliance panel in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election.
However, just days before the election, he withdrew from the race after breaking away from the panel.
