A new political alliance called the 'Democratic Reform Alliance', comprising three political parties, was launched on Sunday.
The parties involved are the National Citizen Party (NCP), Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party), and Rashtra Sangskar Andolon.
NCP convener Nahid Islam made the announcement at an emergency news conference at the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the city, with AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju and State Reform Movement President Hasnat Qayyum beside him.
The alliance was announced with a pledge to implement the desire for change in Bangladesh after the July mass uprising and to prevent the country from reverting to old politics.
Nahid Islam stated that the 'Democratic Reform Alliance' is not just an electoral alliance but a political alliance focused on national dignity and economic liberation.
