Police have arrested Sohel Rana (34), former general secretary of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League's (BCL) Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology unit as well as president of its Shibpur upazila unit under Narsingdi district.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said a team of Banani Police Station nabbed him from Banani area in the capital on Sunday night. Until arrest, Sohel Rana was hiding near Ban Bhaban (Forest Bhaban).
Sohel recently participated in flash anti-government processions in the capital. Legal action was taken against him.
