Police have arrested nine leaders and activists of banned Awami League (AL), including brother of former minister Obaidul Quader, from different areas in the capital.
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), disclosed the development to the media on Thursday.
He said police arrested Quader's brother Sahadat along with other eight leaders and activists of banned AL during raid over the last 24 hours until 6:00 am Thursday).
