Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has urged making all pro-liberation forces to get united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to protect Bangladesh from the clutch of all anti-liberation forces and militancy.
The road transport and bridges minister came up with the call while speaking at a discussion, organised by the ruling party, at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in the capital on Tuesday, marking the historic March 7, reports BSS.
"We must criticise ourselves and minimise our lacking. Our enemies are not sitting idles at home. They got message that their defeat is certain because of the popularity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina if elections is held," the AL general secretary said.
On the day of the historic 7 March, he said, all should take oath to protect Bangladesh from the clutch of all anti-liberation forces and militancy by making all pro-liberation forces united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said there is no alternative to unity and no scope for misunderstanding today.
Stating that there is no reason for the pro-liberation forces to be afraid of anything, Quader said the ruling Awami League does not walk alone and along with its allies, the party will move forward.
The road transport and bridges minister said, “The BNP is carrying out arson terrorism in the country. It seems that BNP is one kind of polypus in the politics of Bangladesh. Today, this poisonous party has been stigmatising and polluting polities and staining blood here.”
