Sirajganj-4: AL candidate served show-cause notice for violating code of conduct

Sirajganj-4 (Ullapara) constituency Awami League-nominated candidate for the 12th parliamentary election Shafiqul Islam Shafi has been served a show-cause notice for violating the electoral code of conduct.

Joint District and Sessions Judge Supriya Rahman, also the chairman of the election inquiry committee, issued the notice on Tuesday morning, bench assistant of the court Pradyut Kumar Dhar confirmed the matter.

According to the notice, the boat candidate held an election rally in a huge pandal in Hatikumrul area on Monday violating the code of conduct.

When the Awami League candidate was contacted his party worker Aminuzzaman Alok received the phone and acknowledged the authenticity of the notice.
