Slain BNP supporter’s wife sues Shama Obaid

A case was filed against BNP’s international affairs committee member Shama Obaid over the death of a supporter of the party during a clash over factional feuds in Faridpur’s Nagarkanda upazila.

Monzila Begum, wife of deceased BNP supporter Kabir Bhuiyan (50), filed the case at Nagarkanda police station on Friday night.

Nagarkanda police station’s Officer-In-Charge (OC) Aminur Rahman said they have initiated legal proceedings over the application filed by Monzila Begum.

Kabir Bhuiyan was killed during a clash between the supporters of Shama Obaid and Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal’s General Secretary Shahidul Islam on August 21. Kabir Bhuiyan was a supporter of Shahidul Islam.
