BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said on Friday that talking about Bangladesh’s problems abroad is not helpful.

“The solution lies with the people of Bangladesh,” he said while addressing a discussion in Chattogram marking the 44th death anniversary of former President Ziaur Rahman.

Without naming anyone, Khasru urged all to speak within the country instead of abroad. “These are our problems, and they must be solved here,” he added.

He said that real solutions—be it reforms or justice—will only come from the people. “There is no second force to bring change. Only the people can.”

Khasru also stressed the need for a new elected government, saying nothing meaningful can be implemented until one is in place, according to local media.

Calling on BNP members to stay united, he urged them to move forward with speed and dedication in line with the visions of Khaleda Zia and Ziaur Rahman.
