Tarique should face show-cause notice before others over electoral code violation, says NCP

The National Citizen Party (NCP) leaders have renewed their offensive against Tarique Rahman barely three weeks before the Feb 12 vote, saying the BNP supremo should be the first to explain the allegations of violating the election code of conduct.

Their tirade against Tarique came minutes after they emerged from a meeting with their mentor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Monday, bdnews24.com reports. 

The NCP demanded the show-cause notices issued to their two leaders should be withdrawn immediately, also calling on the Election Commission (EC) to explain itself to the nation on this issue.
