The flight carrying BNP leader Tarique Rahman landed at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:11 am.
From the airport, he will travel to the 300 Feet Road in Purbachal, where a reception has been organised, reports bdnews24.com.
After the reception, he will go to Evercare Hospital to visit his mother, former prime minister Khaleda Zia, who has been admitted there since November 23.
He will later return to House No. 196 on Gulshan Avenue, which has been prepared for his stay.
Friday
After Jummah prayers, Tarique Rahman will visit Sher-e-Bangla Nagar to pay respects at the grave of his father, former president Ziaur Rahman.
From there, he will travel to Savar’s National Martyrs’ Memorial to pay tribute to those who died in the Liberation War.
Saturday
The BNP acting chairman is expected to complete voter registration formalities as part of preparations to contest the election.
He will then visit the University of Dhaka to pay respects at the grave of Osman Hadi.
Later, he is scheduled to go to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in Shyamoli to visit those injured in the July Uprising.
