Upcoming election will be a ‘battle’ between ‘two forces’, says BNP’s Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir says the upcoming general election will be a “battle” between “two forces”.

At a discussion organised on Sunday afternoon ahead of Victory Day, he said: “This time, the election will be an election between two forces. One force is in favour of Bangladesh… This force is a force in favour of liberal democracy. This force is the force that will truly establish democracy.

“And the other force is one which has always been behind, who have always tried to distract us with talk of religion.”
