Preparations completed for seamless Eid prayer at the National Eidgah, confirms DSCC Mayor

All the necessary arrangements, including protection from rains, have been completed at the National Eidgah to ensure a hassle-free Eid prayer for approximately 35,000 Muslims on June 29.
Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh confirmed this progress to the press after visiting the National Eidgah on Tuesday.
He said that the main congregation will be held at 7:30am at the National Eidgah, based on the information he has.
“The Islamic Foundation is supposed to announce the schedule of the congregation the night before Eid. However, according to the information we have, the main Eid congregation is supposed to be held at 7:30 am at the National Eidgah,” he said.
He emphasised that even if it rains on Eid day, the well-organised preparations will ensure a smooth main congregation at the National Eidgah.
The DSCC mayor also assured increased security measures at the venue.
He requested the residents of Dhaka to come to the National Eidgah with their families to perform Eid prayers.
