Prepare for elections by December, says Mahfuj

Information Adviser Mahfuj Alam has called on all to prepare for elections scheduled for December, saying Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has assured that the vote will be held on time.

The schedule would be met if political parties acted responsibly and state organs function properly, he told an event in memory of those injured and martyred in the July uprising on Friday.

Chief Adviser Yunus recently assured that elections would be held in December if political parties accepted fewer reforms but suggested a few months’ delay if they demanded broader reforms.
