President Abdul Hamid urged all to work together for ensuring national progress apart from local development.

“You have to work together to ensure national progress along with the local development,” the President said.

Abdul Hamid was addressing a views-exchange meeting with local public representatives and other professionals at Kishoreganj Circuit House Auditorium here on Wednesday morning, reports UNB.

President Hamid also asked the government officials and public representatives to give emphasis on national interest.

Observing that the country’s education has already gained a marked progress, he said all concerned, including guardians and teachers, must put emphasis on moral education of students to build them being imbued with the spirit of the country’s 1971 Liberation War.

Recalling the rich culture and customs of Kishoreganj, the President said, “The cultural activists should be more active and sincere to uphold the image of our customs as a rich culture always helps build a sound nation.”

Hamid stressed the need for extending the hands of cooperation to materialise the ‘Digital Bangladesh’ concept of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
