Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan from the Department of Development Studies is going to be appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Dhaka University.
President Md Shahabuddin has already given his approval for the appointment, Daily Prothom Alo reported on Monday, citing government sources.
Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan is currently serving as the pro vice-chancellor at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), alongside his academic responsibilities at Dhaka University.
