The Public Service Commission (PSC) has sought information on candidates recommended in the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) who are already employed in cadre services.
This information is being collected through a Google Form published for the recommended candidates.
The PSC has instructed all 1,690 candidates recommended for cadre posts, as well as those among the 8,272 aspirants on the waiting list for non-cadre positions who are currently serving in cadre service to fill out and submit the document.
The directive was issued in a press release, the commission’s spokesperson SM Matiur Rahman told on Sunday evening.
The form seeks basic information as well as whether the candidate was previously recommended in any BCS exam between the 38th and 43rd batches.
He said, “There has been word that some candidates recommended in the 44th BCS are already serving in cadre posts. That is why we are collecting their information.”
A proposal has been made to amend the relevant rules to allow recommending another eligible candidate in place of someone who is already serving in a cadre post and has again been recommended in the 44th BCS, he added.
“We are collecting this information in advance so that, if the rule is amended, we can make new recommendations quickly.”
