RAB arrests two more 'top criminals' over Jubo Dal leader's murder

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two more "top criminals" in the capital in connection with the murder of Golam Kibria, the member secretary of the Jubo Dal's Pallabi Thana unit.

RAB-4 official Major Abrar Faisal Sadi said the arrestees are top criminals and alleged masterminds of the murder.

The arrestees were identified as Sohel alias Monir Hossain and Sujon, according to the RAB official.

He said that a team of RAB-4 conducted drives and arrested the duo.

Following an investigation, Sohel was arrested from Savar's Birulia, while Sujon was arrested from an area under Tongi West Police station.

Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibria was murdered at a hardware shop in C Block near the old Pallabi Police Station on Monday evening.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Golam Kibria's wife, Sabiha Akhter Dina, filed a murder case with Pallabi Police Station.

The accused named in the case are Md Jony Bhuiyan (25), Sohel ( 30), Sohag alias Kallu (27), Masum alias Bhagina Masum (28) and Rokon (30).

Moreover, seven to eight unidentified individuals have also been accused in the case.

Previously, police arrested Jony, who is a hired killer.

With the latest arrests, the total number of people detained in connection with the murder has risen to three.
