Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) apprehended the former chairman of Sirajganj’s Tarash Upazila, Md Moniruzzaman Moni from the capital’s Dhanmondi area.
Moniruzzaman was detained during a joint operation conducted by RAB-2 and RAB-12 on Tuesday, confirmed by a RAB-2 operations officer on Wednesday, according to a UNB report.
He is facing charges in an attempted murder case filed at the Tarash Police Station in Sirajganj, said the RAB official.
