Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is not worried about the US Visa Policy rather it is relentlessly working to build a society free from terrorists and violence, said an official of the elite force on Tuesday.

"The visa policy is not new for us (RAB). This policy is ongoing. So this is not a new one. We believe that since its inspection, RAB has been working to curb terrorism and violence," Director (Legal and Media) of RAB commander Khandakar Al Moin told the media at a press briefing at the elite force Karwan Bazar office in the capital.

He said that the visa policy that is now being widely discussed was first applied against the RAB and its seven former and present officials in 2021.

He said that they were working as they did in the past.

"Visa policy is entirely a matter of a particular country. They did it for their own consideration. We (RAB) are doing our responsibilities," he stated.

Khandakar Al Moin further said that RAB has uprooted a terrorist organisation like Jamatul Ansar Al Hindal Sharkia.
