Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is conducting a drive at the passport office in the capital's Agargaon.
The mobile court of RAB-2 started the operation on Thursday afternoon.
The company commander of RAB-2, Sanowar Hossain, confirmed the information to a local daily and said this operation is being conducted to relieve people of the harassment at the Agargaon Passport Office.
He said that it is difficult to say how many people have been arrested.
Earlier, RAB's mobile court raided Agargaon's passport office on February 2 this year. At the time, the operation was conducted for about three hours.
