Railway strike: No consensus reached with striking running staff

Amid the ongoing railway strike, a meeting was called by the rail advisor, representatives of Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, student coordinators and BR divisional officials with the striking running staff representatives.   

According to sources, the meeting began at 8:00 pm and continued till 11:00 pm at the Rail Bhaban.

Sources said the striking running staff did not accept the adviser's request to withdraw the strike on his assurance that an allowance would be given monthly. 

The sources also informed that the running staff will stick to their demands until they get assurance of a meeting with the Ministry of Finance.
