The blockade on railway tracks near the FDC gate in Karwan Bazar in Dhaka, enforced by some temporary workers of Bangladesh Railway, was withdrawn after more than two hours on Tuesday following assurances of providing due wages within December 19.

Earlier, they started a sit-in protest around 10:30 am, halting train communication between the capital and the northern and eastern regions.

After the withdrawal of the protests around 12:45 pm, a train crossed the Tejgaon level crossing for Kamalapur Railway Station.
