Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur in parts of the country, said a met forecast for the next 24 hours from 9:00am Thursday, reports BSS.
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and one or two places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions," it said.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal to Northwest Bay.
Southwest monsoon has advanced up to Teknaf coast as conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest monsoon.
The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and the minimum temperature today was 21.5 degrees Celsius at Netrokona.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am today was recorded 35 millimetres (mm) at Netrokona.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the northern part and may rise slightly elsewhere over the country.
