Rain, thundershowers likely in several parts of country

Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions, said a met office forecast on Tuesday.

The weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said the met forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9:00 am today.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to early morning, the forecast added.

The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 32.0 degree Celsius at Sitakunda and today's minimum temperature 11.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

Night temperature may rise by 1-2 degree Celsius and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

The sun sets at 5:57 pm today and rises at 6:28 am tomorrow in the capital.
