Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) adopted a mega project involving Tk 27.1442 billion (Tk 2,714.42 crore) for improving living and livelihood condition of its people.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton revealed this while addressing a departmental coordination meeting in the City Bhaban conference hall in Rajshahi on Wednesday afternoon.
The project titled “Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development in Rajshahi City” has been adopted in order to promoting the city’s major need-based sectors, he added.
Upon its approval and successful implementation, the project will contribute a lot towards taking the city to a new height, he added.
Chief Engineer Ashraful Haque, who gave an overview of the project, told the meeting that it will be submitted for approval within this month.
Chaired by Chief Executive Officer Shawgatul Islam, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Panel Mayors Shariful Islam Babu and Tahera Kathun, Chief Revenue Officer Shahana Akter Jahan and Chief Health Officer Dr Anzman Ara Begum, reports BSS.
