Recent cases undermine hard-won gains of student movement: Barrister Sara Hossain

The cases recently filed against Awami League ministers and lawmakers after the government’s fall are undermining the hard-won gains of the student movement, Barrister Sara Hossain has warned.

They are unlikely to hold up in court and may not even pass the initial stages, Mr Hossain, also executive director of the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST), told a citizen dialogue organised by Civil Reform Group-Bangladesh 2.0 in Dhaka city on Saturday.
