Reopening of vandalised metro stations not possible even in one year: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said the reopening of metro rail’s Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations, which were damaged by miscreants during violent protests over government job quota, is not possible even in one year.

The minister came up with the statement, citing experts, while visiting the vandalised office of Bridges Division in the Banani area of Dhaka on Saturday.

Regarding the resumption of metro rail services, the general secretary of the ruling Awami League said everything will be done following the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
