A 28-year-old man was killed when a speedy truck knocked him down in House Building area in the capital's Uttara on early Sunday.
Tipped off, police rushed to the spot and took him to Tongi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, said Mofazzal Hossain, Sub-inspector at Uttara West Police Station.
His body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy later, reports a news agency.
