Rokeya Day observed in Rangpur

Rangpur district administration, BRUR and different socio-cultural organisations observed Rokeya Day 2025 on Tuesday.

A tribute was paid at the memorial plaque of Begum Rokeya at her birthplace in Pairaband, Mithapukur in the morning. A discussion meeting was held at noon, followed by drawing and music competition for children and teenagers and sewing training programmes for women in the afternoon.

Marking the occasion, a day-long programme of Begum Rokeya University was held at the institution, which included a rally, book unveiling, discussion meeting, and Milad and Doa Mahfil.
