School research activities to start in nine regions next April under the initiative of Chintar Chash

Research workshops titled ‘Gobeshonay Haate Khori’ (beginning in research) are going to be organized in nine different regions of the country next April to make school students research-oriented.

After a long vacation of holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, these workshops will be held under the initiative of "Chintar Chash" in which interested students from classes 7 to 10 will participate, according to a media release. 

According to the schedule, workshops will be held in Motijheel, Mirpur-Dhaka Cantonment of Dhaka and Sylhet on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Workshops will also be held on Sunday, April 5 in Cox's Bazar, Monday, April 6 in Chittagong, Wednesday, April 8 in Rangpur and Dinajpur, and Thursday, April 9 in Saidpur and Nilphamari.

The workshops will discuss the concept of research, its importance in individual and national life, the relationship between research and the search for truth, obstacles to free thinking, limitations of science and the interaction of research with ethics, etc.

Here students will present their concepts and submit areas of interest in writing, based on which the title of their research will be determined.

In addition, separate sessions on research supervision and methodology will be held in April also.

These sessions will be held on April 2 in the Farmgate-Tejgaon and Dhanmondi-Mohammadpur areas of Dhaka, April 11 in Motijheel, Mirpur-Dhaka Cantonment of Dhaka and Sylhet, April 15 in the Rangpur and Dinajpur, April 16 in the Saidpur and Nilphamari, April 18 in the Bogura, April 19 in the Cox's Bazar and April 20 in Chittagong.

The main objective of this program is to help students prepare research papers for participation in the “11th Chintar Chash Young Researchers Conference 2026” to be held at the Student-Teacher Center (TSC) of Dhaka University on October 3, 2026.
