The first innings of the interim government has ended today (Saturday) through the meeting of the consensus commission, said Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the chief adviser of the interim government.
"Today's national consensus commission is the first meeting or preparatory meeting. About 100 politicians from 26 parties and alliances are present in today's programme. Ten politicians have spoken. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Jamaat-e-Islami are leading the party. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher,” said he.
The press secretary said this to reporters in front of the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital on Saturday afternoon, as per local media reports.
