Secondary schools across the country will reopen on Sunday after Eid-ul-Azha and the long summer vacation, along with technical institutes.
However, government primary schools will resume classes on Tuesday, while madrasas are set to reopen on June 26, according to local media reports.
According to the Ministry of Education’s academic calendar, secondary schools remained closed for 23 days since Eid holidays began on 1 June. The last class before the break was held on 29 May. Though schools were scheduled to reopen on 20 June, the weekend pushed the reopening to Sunday.
Meanwhile, primary schools enjoyed a 21-day break from 3 to 23 June. Madrasas will resume after a 25 June holiday, starting classes on 26 June.
