Government employees have decided to suspend their protest programme for one day as secretaries are scheduled to present their demands to the Cabinet Secretary on Wednesday.

The key demand is the withdrawal of the Public Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025.

On Tuesday afternoon, employee leaders met with several secretaries, including Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry, A.S.M. Saleh Ahmed, at the Secretariat to discuss the issue.

Following the meeting, the Land Secretary told reporters that he and a few other secretaries were assigned by the Cabinet Secretary earlier in the day to speak with the protesting employees.

Accordingly, they listened to the employees' concerns.

These concerns will be conveyed to the Cabinet Secretary at 10 am tomorrow.

Following the assurance from the government, the employees have decided not to hold any protest programmes on Wednesday.
