Shafiq Rehman regains declaration of daily Jaijaidin

Veteran journalist Shafik Rehman has regained the declaration of the daily Jaijaidin newspaper.

An official order signed by Tanvir Ahmed, Dhaka district magistrate and deputy commissioner on Tuesday disclosed the information.

Nusrat Naushin, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate (Publication and Printing Branch) of Dhaka District Administration Office,  confirmed the matter to the media.

Earlier, the declaration of this national daily had been cancelled on allegations of rule violations.

Former editor Shafik Rehman had claimed that Jaijaidin was not printed from the approved press, yet incorrect information was provided in the printer's line.
